Eligibilty For Scholarship program

Pembroke Hall Alumni Lifting Lives is proud to offer financial scholarships aimed to mitigate economic
hardship to students in the basic, primary and high schools in Pembroke Hall. These scholarships are awarded
annually and once a student is awarded a scholarship the scholarship is for the students tenure at the
school. Scholarships may be used to cover tuition, books and meals.

Our 2023 scholarship recipients:
Basic School – Alexavier Gordon and Jhemonae Moxey
Primary School – Shamar Morris
High School – Jessie James and Shantasia Briscoe

Some of the criteria for the various scholarships are :

  • Basic School Scholarship
    • Applies to students who are residence of Pembroke Hall
    • Letters from applicants’ parent stating why their child deserves the scholarship
    • Deadline for applications is September 15th. To be awarded by October 15th
    • Student must demonstrate financial needs
    • Scholarship Amount will be US $200 or an amount agreed to by the Board after
    • Funds are to be used towards the payment of tuition, books, meals, etc
    • Funds will be paid directly to the school
  • Primary School Scholarship
    • Applies to students who are residents of Pembroke Hall
    • Letters from applicants stating why they deserve the scholarship
    • Student must submit the most recent report card with the application
    • Deadline for applications is September 15th. To be awarded by October 15th
    • Student must demonstrate financial needs
    • Student must maintain regular attendance
    • Student must demonstrate acceptable behavior
    • Student must maintain a B average or above
    • Scholarship amount will be US$250 or an amount agreed to by the Board after
    • Funds are to be used towards the payment of tuition, books, meals, etc
    • Funds will be paid directly to the school
  • High School Scholarship
    • Applies to students who are also residents of Pembroke Hall
    • There will be 2 scholarships
    • Applies to high school students who are also residents of Pembroke Hall
    • Letters from applicants stating why they deserve the scholarship
    • Deadline for applications is September 15th. To be awarded by October 15th
    • Student must submit the most recent report card with the application
    • Student must demonstrate financial needs
    • Student must maintain regular attendance
    • Student must demonstrate acceptable behavior
    • Student must maintain a minimum average of 75% in at least 5 subjects
    • Scholarship amount will be US$500 each or an amount agreed to by the Board after
    • Funds are to be used towards the payment of tuition, books, meals, etc
    • Funds will be paid directly to the school
